Pick Here Today Flag

Anyone who has plucked a sun-ripened crisp apple right from the tree and promptly eaten it knows what a taste difference there really is. The freshest apples are also the most nutritious.  When the apples reach their peak ripeness, we mark our U-Pick rows with yellow flags. Once you enter the orchard, only pick on those rows marked with the bright yellow flags to assure you are getting the freshest and best apples that day!

The presence of too much starch can affect an apple’s flavor.  An apple that has not had sufficient time to ripen will have more starch present than sugar. This, combined with the acid present in the apple, can have an adverse effect on one's stomach.  So, to avoid an upset stomach, please do not pick and eat apples that are not ripe yet.

Pick your Own Pumpkins

Our Pumpkin Patch is now closed for the 2023 season.

If you prefer to pick your own pumpkins, head over to our pumpkin U-pick entrance on the West side of the Entertainment Area to our new pumpkin field.  Cost for Pumpkin Picking will be $8/pumpkin for any size Jackolantern in the patch.  Pull Wagons will be available, but may be in use on busy weekends so we encourage guests to bring their own.

Pre-Picked Pumpkins and Gourds

Don't want to pick your own pumpkins?  Then visit our pre-picked pumpkin area, in our main parking lot, for fresh picked pumpkins, locally grown mums, squash and gourds.  We have over a dozen different variets of pumpkins to choose from, including those pumpkins that look like they have warts growing all over 'em!

Harvest Barn Pumpkins, Gourds and Squash

Our Harvest Barn, located right next to the U-Pick Entrance, is your gateway to our pre-picked pumpkins, guords and squash. We have dozens of varieties of pumpkins for you to pick from, or you can make your way to the Pumpkin Patch and pick your own jack-o-lantern pumpkins or pie pumpkins.  We also grow gourds and winter squash.

Winter Squash at Royal Oak Farm Orchard
